We want to create an environment where children and young people can learn, develop, create and grow. Part of achieving that potential is to create experiences where they can be nurtured, inspired, and also safe.
bemore asks any teachers working with students under the age of 18 to have an enhanced DBS check and be registered on the DBS update service. This allows us to proactively check the teacher's status regularly, which we do.
We take our responsibility seriously. To give you peace of mind, we put a vetting process in place. This includes:
- KYC checks
- ID authentication (via 3rd party)
- Signing up to our terms and conditions/code of conduct
- Enhanced DBS check
Students can choose if they want a female/male teacher – if a female tutor or student is going to someone’s house then bemore holds the reservation until it’s decided if the tutor wants to take the lesson.
We know your child’s wellbeing and protection is your top priority – and it’s ours too. There’s no problem in asking to meet/chat with the teacher or tutor first and it’s always best to know where the lesson is taking place and if another person is going to be present. Remember if you’re not happy or have some concerns then you can always raise them confidentially with us.
