On bemore, you are completely free to set out your own price structure. It’s up to you to charge what you want for your time. We do, however, recommend taking your training, your experience in the subject, and your location into consideration.
bemore offers three modalities for private lessons. You have the flexibility to set a different price for each one. They are:
- Online lessons
- Lessons you give at your home or 'home venue'
- Lessons where you are willing to travel to the student's venue
Create Lesson / Edit Lesson Pages
To add a new lesson, simply click on the Add New button and select 'Private Lesson'. Like this:
To edit any lesson in the lessons tab, click on the ellipses (the three dots) to the right-hand side, and then select Edit from the drop-down menu, like this:
You will see the Price options for each of the three lesson types, like this:
An online lesson is a 'Skype-style' lesson. Although we actually recommend using the Appear. In platform. It just works effortlessly and reliably, and it doesn't even require your student to have their own account. It's also free to use.
Because of the convenience involved teaching online, you may be willing to adjust your pricing accordingly.
Travelling to a student's home or venue
When you specify that you are willing to travel a certain distance to visit students at their location, you may want to charge an additional premium to cover that cost in terms of both time and travel expense.
Rather than having a separate travel cost, on bemore you factor this in as an increased lesson cost. For example, if you are charging £40 for an hour's online lesson, you may wish to charge £60 or more for an hour's lesson that involves you travelling to the student's venue.
Your home venue
You may wish to charge a premium for welcoming students to your home or your 'home venue' such as a studio or hall. Of course, this is entirely up to you.
Find all of these options on your own Teacher Dashboard.
